RE-OPEN TUTORS MARKED ASSESSMENT

 #ReopenTMAs

Why is Open University becoming hard and rigid?

Where is the 'FLexibility'?

Is it no longer 'Work and Learn'?

Do they forget the slogan, 'Learn at your own Pace'?

Registration had been extended to 15th November, 2022 with official reference No: NOUN/A.REG/MIS/331/VOL1 dated 19th October, 2022.

That is to say, new or returning students of 100 & 200 level can register on 15th November, 2022 and still be allowed to take their TMAs.

But to our amazement, we woke up this morning to see 'All TMAs closed!'

And this includes 100 & 200 level students whose registration was extended to 15th November.

Is this real or are they undergoing maintenance?

Is the Deputy Registrar, Prof. Olagboye Sunday Osebi aware of this closure?

If that is true,

My questions are:

Are the different administrative offices working concurrently?

Why would one office extend registration and the other close assignment?

Then what's the essence of leaving registration portal Open when the Assignments are no longer active?

This apparently manifests that there is no collaboration between the various administrative offices of National Open University of Nigeria.

Why would the Registry office extend Registration and Directory of Exam and Assessment (DEA) closed TMA?

Does that make sense?

Your non-collaboration shouldn't jeopardize the life and destiny of poor innocent students who are laboring hard to work and learn.

This is totally unacceptable!

Despite having too many errors, setting questions out of context, failing students for the right answers, having options without answers etc in this semester's TMA and still having the ghost to close it?

This is unacceptable!

Because the school doesn't have a Student Union doesn't mean they should do anything they want.

NOUN should remember that without the students, there will be no Management and the Institution at large.

We don't have a Union but our voices must be heard

We've been patient over the years but enough is enough!

We can't fold our arms and see things fumbling before our eyes.

The school should not be after making money and not looking up to the benefits of the students.

NOUN can't just collect students' money and leave them helpless.

This is siphoning.

They can't expect students that registered recently to waste their money when it takes a minimum of 72hrs for the student's TMA to be active on elearn after registering.

I'm calling on the Deputy Registrar & Director of Academic Registry, Olagboye Sunday Osebi and the Director, Examinations and Assessment, Prof. Olugbenga Ojo to do something immediately about this.

To the students, a pain to one is a pain to all.

Whether you are directly affected or not, let's join our hands together and say no to 'Rigid Learning'.

Let's tweet it and send this message across the various NOUN emails.

Below are the following emails to channel the complaint:
