Probation is a serious issue students should be concerned about and take very serious. It's not an issue to take with levity hand. 20% of NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY find themselves in this situation. Students that are affected can be any level be it 100l, 400l or 500l.
For every student who find themself in this situation, you have two(2) acadamic semesters equivalent to a year to rectify this and get yourself out of probation. First you will only be allowed to register your carry over(s) only for those who have carry over. You are expected to do well in all this carry over(s). After 2 semester elapse and you are still on probation, you might be allowed to pay school fee but will never graduate. But regardless, its not the end of the world. You just need to sit tight with your education.
ADVICE ON REGISTERATION
1) Before Attempting registration in any semester, always make sure you check your CGPA via your E-Ticketing platform.
2) If you no nothing about registration, do not try to register by yourself. We believe in all organization there are Technical-know-how. Visit your cybercafe or someone who know more to guide you through.
3) If you know you are not fully ready to give your 99% concentration do not register for any semester. I repeat do not register any semester. Wait till you are ready cause any failure cost you everything.
HOW TO MOVE OUT OF PROBATION.
1) Be 100% ready to read and comprehend your course material. Do away with all other distractions.
2) In all your registered courses per semester you must be ready to make A's or B's. You only need a very minimal C grade. Maybe one or two.
3) Do all your best to do away with grade's like D, E and F.
4)If not out of probation after two(2) semesters be ready to obtain new admission and start afresh.
