COMMUNIQUE FROM THE CONGRESS OF NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA STUDENTS' (CONS) NATIONAL ELECTION

 National Election and Convention


The Congress of National Open University of Nigeria Students (CoNS) successfully held its National Election and Convention at Christ Church cathedral primary school hall Lagos island Cms Lagos State Nigeria, bringing together representatives from all faculties and chapters. The purpose of this convention was to elect new leaders who will steer the Congress for the upcoming tenure, strengthening the Congress’s commitment to students’ welfare, academic excellence, and advocacy.


The election process was transparent, peaceful, and conducted in the spirit of democracy, with observers from NANS, NAUS, NYCN and the local government authority of Lagos island Lagos State Nigeria. The results, as announced by the Electoral Committee, are as follows:

The newly elected leaders have expressed their dedication to advancing the objectives of CoNS and strengthening collaboration across the university’s community. The Congress appreciates the hard work of the Electoral Committee, all participants, and guests who contributed to the success of this event.
