NOUN Students Endorse Ambassador Okelola Sunday for NANS Secretary-General

 OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

NOUN Students Endorse Ambassador Okelola Sunday for NANS Secretary-General

A Call for Inclusion and Fair Representation

In our collective pursuit of effective leadership and equitable representation, the students of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) are proud to officially endorse Ambassador Okelola Sunday as a candidate for the position of Secretary-General of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

Ambassador Okelola Sunday has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment to the welfare of students, exemplary leadership skills, and an unmatched dedication to inclusivity and progress. As a student body, we recognize his ability to bridge divides and advocate for the interests of all Nigerian students, regardless of their background or institution.

The endorsement of Ambassador Okelola Sunday is a reflection of our belief in the principles of inclusivity, fairness, and equitable representation. The National Open University of Nigeria, as the largest tertiary institution in Africa, continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of student leadership. It is our firm conviction that the next Secretary-General of NANS must embody these ideals to ensure the voices of all Nigerian students are heard and valued.

We therefore call on all stakeholders, delegates, and decision-makers in the upcoming NANS election to prioritize inclusion, fairness, and merit. The era of marginalization and underrepresentation must be left behind, giving way to a leadership structure that reflects the diversity and aspirations of the Nigerian student community.

Together, let us build a NANS that is not only a beacon of hope for students today but also a foundation for the leaders of tomorrow.

Signed,

Comr Newland Wuche

National President
